This morning we put out the top 500 boys and girls freshman rankings based on time. Tonight, we picked seven of those 1000 runners to highland that are making a big impact in their first year.
Jennifer Weaver (Lindbergh)
Lindbergh's Leader, Weaver has had a great start to her high school career. The Class 4 District 1 Runner-Up, Weaver holds the fastest time for freshman girls in the state with a blistering 18:54 set at her conference meet. In only her second high school race, Weaver finished 26th at the Forest Park XC Festival among the top runners in the state. Weaver will help the Flyers attempt to advance to state meet this weekend after a second place team finish at their district meet.
