Maymont X-Country & DCXC Invite Recap Oct 01, 2014

This past weekend Virginia's capital and our nation's capital played host to some of the largest and most competitive meets in the entire country. Both provided great fields and unique views at runners' speed and endurance respectively. Though they were very different terrains and difficulties, they both shed light on how multiple state competitions will fair. To start, let's recap some of the highlights from the Maymont X-Country Invitational. 

Kelati takes seige of Nation's Capital Sep 29, 2014

In her second high school race in America, Eritrean born Weini Kelati (US #9), now running as a junior at Heritage High School in Leesburg, Virginia, took over the nation's capital at the DCXC Invitational in Washington DC winning the junior race in the day's fastest time by 14 seconds with a 17:45 5K performance.

Alex Corbett and his entire Lake Braddock team really put it on this weekend when they raced at the first ever DCXC invitational. Corbett ran an impressive and new Virginia best 15:17 to finish as the runner-up in the boys senior race. Check out all the top performances and coverage inside.
