Dover, Del. (Apr. 23, 2013) --- Delaware State University's T'Nay Williams turned in the Hornets' top performance at the Morgan State Legacy Invitational last weekend. Williams took second place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:08.87, trailing only top finisher Devyn Thompson of Hampton (11:46.35).
Delaware State's Ketsia Dornevil was third in the 800-meter run at Morgan State. Dornevil posted a time of 2:14.71. The winner in the 800 was clocked at 2:11.21.
Dornevil was also a member of the Hornets' fifth-place 1600-meter relay team. She teamed with Calisa Emerson, Dashera Richardson and Rayanna Relerford to post a time of 3:56.00 in the 4x4.
DSU's Maria Gwengi was fourth in the javelin with a top throw of 34.00 meters (111-06). Her teammate Morgan Durham was eighth in the javelin (29.53 m). Gwengi also finished 11th in the shot put (11.67 m).
Delaware State's Janae Wilson turned in a solid sixth place finish in the long jump with a top leap of 5.69 meters (18-08.00).
