The teams from Canal Winchester and Mason crossed state lines and made their way over to Pennsylvania's featured meet of the weekend, the Kevin Dare Invitational

Among the highlights for Ohio's own were big 400 and 800 performances put up by Korbin Martino and Maddie Ullom

Martino, running in section 7, took the overall event victory by virtue of his 49.99 showing. His effort stands as a OH No. 2 for the 2020 season and the second time he's gone under the elusive 50 second mark during indoor competition. The junior classman owns a personal best indoor time of 49.12, achieved at last year's state meet

In the highly competitive 800 contest, Maddie Ullom got a feel for what it'll be like to run on her future home track. The Penn State signee went 2:17.07 for 3rd place in section 3 (and overall).

Ullom, who's coming off a successful XC campaign with the Comets, is the new state leader for the half-mile.

Look for her to be on the short-list of contenders vying for the Division 1 State Championship win in March - she placed 3rd a year ago as a junior in 2:13.07.
