Delco Championships, PA

Coverage

Highlights

  • US#7 Cardinal O'Hara dominated their county meet yesterday, scoring just 19 points as they swept the first 4 places in the race.  Dan Savage won individually for O'Hara with a time of 15:48.  Soph Kevin Jones was 2nd in 15:59.

 

Central Park Invitational, CA

Highlights

  • US#1 Bernie Montoya (Cibola AZ) showed why he is ranked so high, crushing the 3 mile layout with a time of 14:39.70! 

 

Octoberfest Invitational, VA

McGorty goes #2 All-Time in meet history

Highlights

  • In the boys Varsity A race US#2 Sean McGorty (Chantilly) rolled with a winning time of 15:10, winning by 50 seconds!  US#13 Chantilly won the team title easily with 58 points and a 16:15 team average.
  • In the girls Varsity A race Jennifer Flack (Thomas Edison) won with a time of 18:22.  Blacksburg won the team title with 116 points.

 

Lions Meet of Champions, MN

Highlights

  • Stillwater (MN) continues to impress, winning this one with 28 points and a 16:01.9 team average!  Wayde Hall led the way with his 15:30.7 victory.
  • Jenna Truedson won the girls 4k race in 14:06.3.  

 

Swain Meet, MN

Highlights

  • Matt Welch (Proctor) rolled in this one, winning the Varsity A race with a time of 15:23.40, 44 seconds up on 2nd place.   

 

St. Anthony's Invitational, NY

Highlights

  • In the girls small schools race Mary Cain (Bronxville) dusted the field with an 18:45.30 clocking, over a minute faster than any other time of the day.  Bronxville won the team crown with 15 points.
  • In the boys large schools race St. Anthony's dominated with 24 points, and placed 6 runners in the top-8 overall.  Ryan Cooney (Massepequa) won overall with a time of 16:35.33.  

 

Richland Invitational, WA

Coverage

Highlights

  • In the boys division 1 race US#15 Kai Wilmot (North Central) took down US#8 Joe Hardy (Seattle Prep) in a head to head battle with times of 14:44.73 to 14:47.61 over the 3 mile course.  Sumner Goodwin finished 3rd in 15:11.81.  
  • In the girls division 1 race US#12 Katie Knight won convincingly with a time of 17:16.53 over US#8 Alexa Efraimson (Camas) who was 2nd in 17:22.87.  Jordan McPhee was 3rd in 18:02.23.  

 

Nike South Invitational, TX

Highlights

  • In the boys elite 5k Brigham Hedges (The Woodlands) won with a quick 15:18.20 clocking.  Robert Domanic (Lewisville Hebron) was 2nd in 15:20.50 and Ryan Teel (Friendswood) was 3rd in 15:21.50.  Southlake Carroll steamrolled the competition with a score of 53 points over The Woodlands, 76 points.  Carroll had a 50 second spread and averaged 15:39.44.  
  • In the girls elite 5k race Sophie Chase (Lake Braddock VA) took a road trip and wound up with the win in a quick 17:40.40 clocking.  Second was Katherine Jensen (College Park) in 17:54.40.  Southlake Carroll defeated Lake Braddock in the team competition by a score of 55 to 71.  

 

Capital City 7 of 7 Invitational, MT

Highlights

  • Makena Morley (Bigfork) dominated with the fastest time of the day with a clocking of 16:50.5 for the 3-mile race, winning by 35 seconds!
  • In the boys action Adam Peterman (Missoula Hellgate) and Zach Perrin (Flathead) went at it with mile times of 4:53 and 4:56 before Peterman pulled away with a 4:36.5 3rd mile to win in 14:26.5 as Perrin closed in 4:56.9 to secure 2nd with a time of 14:46.6.

 

Portage Invitational, MI

Highlights

  • In the girls D2 Varsity race Julia Bos (Grand Rapids Christian) rolled to a 17:19.1 victory with 2nd in 17:47.3 for Kenzie Weiler (Cedar Springs).  
  • In the boys D1 Varsity race Jeff Bajema (Kenowa Hills) won with a time of 15:15.8.  
  • In the boys D2 Varsity race Connor Mora (Cedar Springs) won with a quick time of 15:18.8.  

 

McNeil Invitational, TX

Highlights

  • In the girls Varsity Gold race Karis Jochen (College Station) won with a quick time of 17:29.6.  Maddie McLellan (The Woodlands) was 2nd in 17:33.4, Natalie Rathjen (Dallas Highland Park) was 3rd in 17:35.2, Madie Boreman (Leander Rouse) was 4th in 17:37.8 and Sandie Raines (Humble Kingwood) was 5th in 17:42.2.  The Woodlands defeated Humble Kingwood 64 to 97 in the team competition.

Highlights

  • Connor Harriman (Pennsbury) won the Champs boys race with a time of 16:11, battling to the line with Eddie Cunningham (West Windsor Plainsboro North), also timed in 16:11.  La Salle College (PA) won the team race over Northport 117 to 121.
  • Liam Mullett (Pingry) won the Varsity F race with the fastest time of the day, a 16:00 clocking.
  • Ben Malone (Pascack Valley) won the boys Varsity C race with a time of 16:12.  
  • Thomas O'Neill (Middletown North) won the boys Varsity A race with a quick time of 16:01, winning by 29 seconds.

  • Andres Arroyo (Colonial) dominated the boys varsity Gold race with a clocking of 15:19.8 over the 5000m layout.  Tyler Bennett (Fort Myers) finished 2nd with a time of 15:32.8.
  • Kacy Smith (Estero) took the girls varsity Gold race with a clocking of 18:06.  Second went to Emily Edwards (Fort Myers) in 18:12.
