Dre Miller had the best performances in the jumps at the state meet not to result in gold medals ever in the history of track and field. Miller jumped 22-feet-7-inches in the long jump and 45-4 in the triple, both good for second place. (via )

The Cape Henlopen girls' track team battled ear, nose and throat issues with sick or injured athletes over two days and even a hurdler that saw spots before her race on a hot afternoon and slowed it down to a crawl.
