DIAMOND STATE RELAYS

2017 FORMAT WILL HAVE OPEN EVENTS AND RELAYS

SANCTIONED: NFHS DELAWARE AND BORDERING STATES, USATF

AWARDS: Event Champion DRI-FIT t-shirts will be awarded to the winners of the championship sections. Diamond State Relay medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in every heat, in every race. Championship heats and field events will be recognized with Championship medals.

ENTRY PROCEDURES: Please fill out and return the enclosed entry form along with payment by March
20, 2017.
Teams this year will be charged a flat fee of $150/gender, $300/school
Smaller teams can still enter by event with fees of $20.00 per relay and $10.00 per individual event
Please make checks payable to N5CTA.
Out of state teams be sure to complete and return the eligibility verification form with your entry.

ONLINE REGISTRATION: will be via the internet using the website www.milesplit.com
Online registration closes 7 PM, Thursday, March 30th
You should not wait until the 30th to register, but you can update up to 7 PM

CHAMPIONSHIP RELAYS: Based on the seed times entered, the top relay teams, or the top field event people, will be entered into a single Championship Heat or Flight. In addition to championship medals, the overall winners will be awarded t-shirts. Field event flights will receive three (3) trials and the top six (6) performers will return for a final flight receiving three (3) more attempts.

FIELD EVENTS: All field event entries will be accepted. Due to the size of this meet and the typical number of entries, we will be making the following adjustments: After the 1st legal throw, only throws over 20 for girls and 30 for boys will be measured in the shot put and throws over 50 for girls and 90 for boys will be measured in the discus. Starting heights for the pole vault and high jump are as follows: Boys HJ 54, Girls HJ 42, Boys PV 8, Girls PV 6. Long and Triple will be open pit.

MEET FORMAT: No team points are kept at the Diamond State Relays. Medals are awarded in ALL heats.
Entry limitations are listed in the schedule of events.

RAIN DATE: In the event of a postponement due to inclement weather, coaches will be called as soon as a decision is made. Updates as well as results following the meet can be found on www.n5cta.com. Our rain date is Monday, 4/03/17 from 2 PM until approximately 9PM.
