Florida 4A State Meet

Oak Ridge's Sharikka Barnett improved upon her US leading time in the 400 meter dash with a 52.67 scorching for the 4A state title.


St. Thomas Aquinas teammates Diamond Spaulding and Krystal Sparling went 1-2 in the girls 100 and 200 finals for 4A with US top 3 times from Sparling claiming the 100 in US #3 11.46 and Spaulding taking 200 in US #2 23.21.

Florida 3A State Meet

Bittersweet moment for the Estero girls 4x800 meter relay in winning the Florida 3A state title in a 9:15 school record as their coach Jeff Sommer went into cardiac arrest after the race and later died at the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Estero track family and Coach Sommer's family.


Lincoln's John Burt smoked the Florida 3A boys 110 meter hurdles finals with a swift 13.64 clocking, while also winning the high jump state title with a clearance of 6'6".

Florida 2A State Meet

Nati Sheppard of Ranson Everglades set a new Florida state high school record in the girls pole vault with a clearance of 13'3" on her second try!


Hallandale junior Kimani Rushing was a Florida 2A state champion in the three events between the 100 meter hurdles (13.42), 300 meter hurdles (42.96), and triple jump (40'5") as well as a runner-up in the long jump (18'4").

Antwuan Musgrove of Hallandale was a double Florida state champion in the hurdles for 2A clocking swift times of 13.92 in the 110 meter hurdles and 37.87 in the 300 meter hurdles on Friday at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. (Photo by Jeff Adams)

Florida 1A State Meet

Teahna Daniels, one of the nation's fastest in the 100 meters, did not have to run that fast in order to cruise to wins in Florida 1A state finals for the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash on Friday.


Brittany McGee joined only five others in Florida state meet history to win four individual state titles in the same meet as she took first in 1A for the 100 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, long jump, and triple jump.
