Analysis: In 2015, Daniel Bernal won six races during the cross country season. At the Nike Cross Nationals South Regional, he placed fifth, which earned him his first national cross country meet berth. At Nike Cross Nationals, he placed 36th by running 15:42 over 5K. Last year on the track, Bernal improved by almost 30 seconds in the 3200m to run 9:01. He also posted a respectable 1600m mark of 4:18. With his experience from the NXN meet last year and his dramatic improvement in both the 3200m and 1600m, you can expect Bernal to have a strong senior season in 2016.
