Padua Academy sophomore Lydia Olivere and Charter School of Wilmington senior Kevin Murray scored a national attention grabbing win at the Paul Short Run on Friday at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Competing against some of the top runners from the state of Pennsylvania, Olivere and Murray both won the top seeded brown division races with Olivere in a time of 17:49 and Murray in a time of 15:29.
The Padua Academy girls finished 8th overall in the team standings with 317 points and 19:35 team average as a squad, while the Charter School of Wilmington boys placed 5th at Paul Short with 261 points and a 16:28 team average.
