Pennsylvania Indoor Week 7 Meets On Tap

DVGTCA Meet #5 - Meet Preview

***Preview Based On Entries As Of 3:30 P.M. On Thursday, 1/18***

SPRINTS/HURDLES

Last week, Pennridge's Kouri Peace opened up her season in the 300 meters. Now the 2016 PTFCA champ in the 200 meters will drop down to the 200 this weekend. Peace ran a PA#4 in the 300 last week. Friday will be a good test for her, going up against Neumann Goretti's Mykala Perry.

Aja Davis of Lower Merion returns to action this weekend. She's currently PA#3 in the 60 meters, and will go up against Neumann Goretti's Eliza Brooks in the event on Friday.

In the 300 meters, Chester's Kamani Johns will continue her busy freshman season against Central's Lauryn James in what should be an intriguing race. Neumann Goretti's Dasia Wilson will headline the 400 meter field. Wilson enters the weekend at PA#7.

We should get a good race in the 60 meter hurdles, too. Exeter's Symone Foster enters at PA#2 in the event. Neumann Goretti's Sydni Townsend is also entered. She's PA#10 in the 55 meter hurdles. Central Bucks East's Abby Eisold should be strong in the hurdles as well.

DISTANCE

Pennsbury's Lizzy Kirk is the top seed in the 800 meters, but the event looks to be pretty wide open heading into Friday. In the 1,000 meters, Strath Haven's Grace Forbes, who supplied the anchor leg on the nation's second fastest DMR and ran a PA#3 mile herself, will lead the field.

The 3,000 meters will be a good one with Penn Charter's Emma Zwall, North Penn's Olivia Dyer, and Neshaminy's Kaylee McCullough all entered.

FIELD

In the long jump, Council Rock North's Marissa Hsu will matchup with Mastery Charter's Taliyah Furtick. Look for both to make some moves up the state rankings on Friday. In the triple jump, Ridley's Meghan Lynch is the top seed.

Quakertown's Kacey Lambinus and Bishop McDevitt's Blair Knuckle will be a showdown to watch for in the high jump. Lambinus enters at PA#4, while Knuckle sits at PA#5.
