Julie Macedo was the lone Delaware girls runner to celebrate a sub 17 minute 5K performance this past decade with her 16:53 victory at the 2011 Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational. Both Lydia Olivere (Padua Academy ('17) at 17:02 and Haley Pierce (Tatnall '12) at 17:05 came very close though with their high school best times.
