Maiya Dendy and Daija Lampkin's high school careers overlapped for some great battles with Dendy as an upperclassmen (Padua Academy '15) and Lampkin as an underclassmen (Middletown '17). Both were able to dip under 24 seconds for 200 meters in high school with Dendy at 23.96 and Lampkin setting the state record at 23.36.
