Sam Parsons of Tatnall came painfully close to breaking 9 minutes for 3200 meters in high school at the 2012 Arcadia Invite with his 9:00.61 performance. Connor Nisbet at 9:00.75 in the 2018 New Castle County Champs also made a good run at it.
