In last year's DIAA State Championships, Delcastle's Jalissa Emmens stayed unbeaten for the season in-state in the girls 800 by winning the Division 1 state title with a time of 2:14.48. She led 3 others under 2:20 in the race which was a trio from Padua Academy in Elizabeth Bader, Elena Bocchetti, and Judith McLaughlin.
