In the 2019 DIAA State Championships, the Division 2 girls 800 race saw a great battle down to the line between sophomore Emily Rzucidlo of Ursuline Academy and senior Keelin Hays of Tatnall. Hays seemed at 200 meters to go making an assertive move to pull away with another state title, but Rzucidlo was able to find another gear to chase down Hays from the inside for a 2:20.54 victory.
