Meet Information
The Meet of Champions offers All Runners, Throwers and Jumpers from the State of Delaware an opportunity to showcase their respective talents in a Head-to-Head Competition with the Best of the Best culled from their Performances at the State Track & Field Championships.
We offer the Top Performers the Events - They Provide the Talent
Item 1. Date and Site
A. The 2022 DIAA Meet of Champions will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Abessinio Stadium in Wilmington, DE. The rain date will be announced if required.
Item 2. Tournament Field and Entry Procedures
A. Competitors are automatically selected from the final results of the 2022 DIAA Division I and II Boys and Girls Track Championship Meets. See Chart below for the number of top performances invited and number of alternates for each event.
B. Entry Timeline
1. Performance List will be emailed to all Coaches for the Top Track and Field Competitors.
2. Coaches must go Online to DE.MileSplit.com and enter their competitors by 9:00 PM on Monday, May 23rd. Failure to enter a competitor will result in the competitor being scratched from the event.
3. A final list of invited competitors and alternates will be emailed to all Coaches by Monday, May 23rd at 10:00 PM.
4. If a competitor scratches from an event in which he or she is has declared, that athlete will be disqualified from participation in all further individual events and relays at the Meet of Champions.

Item 4. Track and Field Event Check -In
A. All competitors, invited and alternates, must report to the clerk (located by the Timing Tent) in all running and relays 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin. They must Check-in with the Clerk and Declare their intent to run. If not, they will be scratched from the event and not allowed to participate further in the MOC events that follow
B. Field event competitors must check in 15 minutes before their event is scheduled to begin. Any athlete who fails to check in at this time will be scratched from that event.
Item 5. Admission
A. Paid admission: Admission for all students (K-12) and adults is $7.00.
B. Competitor admission: A pass will be sent via e-mail after declaration is made to participate in an event.
Item 6. Awards
A. All participants will receive a Meet of Champions T-Shirt.
B. Medals will be awarded to the top three final placements in each event.
