2. Howard Tech's Edwin Rosembert with the narrow win in the 55m ...and then with the double in the 400m

Rosembert has been his state's best in the quarter for much of the season. But the 55m wasn't so set in stone. He finished with the second-best preliminary time in the race, but came away with the win here, giving himself quite a haul. He finished in a top time of 6.49 seconds, beating out Caesar Rodney's Dayvhantae McDonald by a hundredth of a second (6.50) and William Penn's Mike Mills by three hundredth's of a second (6.52). Howard Tech's sprinters also took wins in the 4x200 (1:32.43) and the 4x400 (3:28.50).
