Dover Boys Post 2 State Leading Times At Woodward Relays In Maryland

The Dover boys and girls track team traveled to Maryland this past weekend to compete at the Woodward Relays, one of the longest running meets in the state at Georgetown Prep.

The boys relays faired particularly well with two first place finishes and pair of runner-up finishes. The squad's first victory of the day came in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 8:06, which ranks #1 in the state of Delaware this spring.

Later in the sprint medley relay, Dover overcame a stiff challenge from a Northwood (MD) squad to win with another state leading time in the rarely contested event with a solid performance of 3:35.79, which is just a second off the New Balance Outdoors qualifier for the championship division (qualifies them from emerging elite division).

Top individual performance of the day belonged to Tayshun Chisholm's runner-up finish and sub 40 second clocking in the 300 meter hurdles at 39.64, which ranks second fastest in the state of Delaware.
