Women's Cross Country Competes at NCAA East Regional

Liz Williams Runs a Course PR; Carly Mitchell Cracks All-Time 6K List
 

DORCHESTER, Mass. - The Goldey-Beacom College women's cross country team entered four runners as it competed in the NCAA Division II East Regional at Frankin Park on Sun. afternoon. 

Junior Elizabeth Williams led the way for the Lightning as she has all year, earning a course personal record with a time of 27:23 to place 133rd.

Sophomore Carly Mitchell ended the season on a high-note with an All-Time list-worthy 6K time of 29:40. She finished 162nd overall. The third runner in for GBC was junior Alyssa Murray with a time of 30:54 to place 170th. Sophomore Symone Stewart followed at 174th with a time of 31:40.

This race concludes the Fall 2011 season for the Lightning. They will compete in exhibition track meets throughout the Spring. Follow GBC's results on gbcathletics.com.
