GENERAL: Abessinio Stadium has a 400 meter, 8-lane all-weather track facility. There will be no locker room facilities available. Only 1/4 inch pyramid spikes may be used. Chalk will be provided for use by athletes in marking for relays and field events. NFHS rules will be in effect.



All team members in uniform will be admitted free. Any manager or non-uniform team member must be accompanied by a coach. There will be a list of coaches organized by school at the gate.

TIME SCHEDULE: Gates open to Teams at 2:00 PM on Friday and 8:45 AM on Saturday

MEET ENTRY INFO:

- Individual and relay event entries and seed times/distances must be made online at www.de.milesplit.com.

Entries close at 9:00 PM, WEDNESDAY, MAY 8th.

- All entry performances must have been achieved during the 2024 outdoor season.

- Please enter the athletes you expect to use on relay teams in the order in which you expect them to run (enter up to 8 athletes per Relay). Final relay declarations will be made using relay cards on the day of the race.

- Performance Lists will be posted on DE.MileSplit.com by the evening of Wednesday, May 8th.

SCORING & AWARDS: The top eight places will score in all events. Awards to the top 3 teams, top 3 individuals in each event, and top 3 teams in each relay. Top 3 finishers in all events earn All-County.

PARTICIPATION LIMITS: Teams may enter 2 athletes per individual event and one relay team per relay event. Individuals may compete in a maximum of 4 events. The Novice Sprint Medley is a non-scoring event for novices only. Athletes in this event may not participate in any other events.

RUNNING EVENTS: All events will be pre-seeded. Sections will be run fast to slow. Athletes should pick up hip numbers prior to entering the warm up area on the infield. When an event is called, check in with the Clerk of Course, and remain in the bull pen area until directed onto the track.

4x200 will be lanes all around

4 x 400 will be run with a 3 turn stagger.

FIELD EVENTS: STARTING HEIGHTS:

Pole Vault: Boys: 8' 0"; progression at 6" intervals

Girls: 6' 0"; progression at 6" intervals

High Jump: Boys: 5'6"; progression at 2" intervals

Girls: 4'4"; progression at 2" intervals

Throwing Events: CONTESTED AT TATNALL SCHOOL. 

Athletes need to check in prior to the start of the first flight.
Weigh ins will close after the start of the first flight 

A Minimum Performance Line will be used in the Shot and Discus. First Legal Throw will be measured, then proceeding throws that do not exceed the short line will not be measured.

Boys:Shot: 38 Feet    Discus: 100 Feet

Girls:   Shot: 28 Feet    Discus: 75 Feet

REPORTING: Competitors should report to the event site when called and check in with the official in charge. Throwing implements must be weighed and certified prior to the start of the event. Certification of poles for pole vault and weighing-in of athletes for pole vault will be at the pole vault event location. Each athlete in the horizontal jumps and throws will get 3 attempts in preliminaries. The top 9 will advance to the finals, where they will get 3 more attempts. 

COACHES HELP: N5CTA requires that each team provide ONE (1) Adult Worker to help with the meet. Please send a job preference to the meet director. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Each team is also required to provide TWO (2) student-helpers to assist in the efficient running of the meet.
