Salesianum Invitational 2019

No need to figure out your Varsity, JV, etc the week before. Simply register for Championship (most competitive) Large School Varsity or Small School Varsity (based on your state division). Enter EVERY athlete into the Varsity division of your choice and send your top 7 to race Varsity, your next best 7 for JV "A", your next best 7 after that for JV "B" and then unlimited/the rest of your team for JV "C". There is no girls JV "C", so the unlimited entry for girls is JV "B". Girls are Varsity 7, JV "A" 7 and unlimited JV "B".

The Course

The cross country course at Brandywine Creek State Park has been re-designed in 2010, providing a safer running surface while maintaining all of its challenge. The starting area permits a full invitational field to line up, and crosses a large open grass area. After the first two panhandles the course heads directly left, not down the hill as in previous years (this section was becoming unsafe). It moves towards the bottom of Maintenance Hill and circles around to go back up. The course then follows the same trail as before until it gets near the finish area, when the runners will circle the meadow area above the finish line. All turns are clearly marked with posts. The mile and two mile points are marked. The course crosses paved roads at only two brief points. Spectators will have an excellent view of the starting line and the finish area. DIVISIONS

We have 3 Divisions that you can enter for your varsity. Small Schools, Large Schools and Championship. Enter whatever size your state designates you as. Please check past results to see if your team wants to run in the Championship race. Small/Varsity races award top 3 and the Championship awards top 5! This should prove to be one of the most COMPETITIVE, SAFE and FUN years ever at the Salesianum Invitational. The design of the course is safe, difficult and spectator friendly! Make sure to get your entries in so you can "Conquer the Creek".

The course will be open until 12:30 for touring on the day of the race and is accessible for review before race day. About 100 school teams enter and about 1000 runners compete. There are usually about twenty teams in each race. Complete results through 2016 are available at www.N5CTA.com, under "Cross Country".
