ndian River senior Keiosha Shelton in the 4 x 1 relay DOVER — The team title was already locked up. But Stuart Higginbotham wanted Caesar Rodney High to end this meet in grand fashion. Higginbotham’s pass in the final turn of the 1,600-meter relay capped the Riders’ second straight Henlopen Conference boys’ track & field championship Friday night at Dover High. CR won the meet, totaling 167 points while Dover finished in second with 118. Cape Henlopen (96), Lake Forest (75) and Milford (64) rounded out the top five. via delaware.newszap.com)

Last year, the Smyrna girls team didn’t have a single entrant in the DIAA Indoor Track and Field Championship. It’s safe to say the Eagles will be there this year. In fact, they will be a contender for the team title. (via www.delawareonline.com)
